Entry and Visa.
Entry into Bhutan requires a passport and visa. Visa is not issued by Bhutanese Embassies abroad. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Thimphu issues visas through a local registered travel agency. They will send a visa confirmation to Druk Air and only then will Druk Air issue a ticket that will be sent to the customer. The Ministry will not issue a visa clearance until all Druk air payments have been remitted in full. Bhutan Takin Trails will arrange for a visa before your trip to Bhutan. You will have to send passport details along with a completed visa application form. Information needed on the visa papers is as follows:
1. Full name as it appears in your passport.
2. Permanent Address
3. Occupation
4. Nationality
5. Date of issue and expiration of passport
6. Date and place of birth
The actual visa will be stamped in traveler’s passport on arrival at Paro airport. The visa fee for Bhutan is US$ 20.
Pricing
The Government of Bhutan obligates travelers to visit only through a licensed Bhutanese tour operator.

The daily rate is inclusive of accommodation, food, sightseeing, transport within Bhutan, guides, trekking staff and equipments, horses/yaks, and entry fees to museums and other entertainment centers.
However, this does not include the visa fees, airport tax, tips, and Druk Air tickets, accommodation in 5 star hotels like Uma Resorts and Aman Resorts, Zhiwaling and Tashi Taj. alcohol, gifts/ souvenirs, tips to drivers/guides/ trekking staff, services outside of Bhutan and travel insurance.
A government surcharge of US$ 40 per night is levied for single travelers
US$ 30 per night per person for groups of two
More than 3 people in a group no surcharge is levied.
Discounts are given for visit durations of more than 10 days
- The discount is 10% per night person for a visit lasting 11 to 20 days. The first 10 days are not applicable for a discount, but it is applied to days 11 through 20
- A discount of 20% per night per person is applied for a visit duration of more than 20 days, and is applicable from the 21st day and onwards
- Children below 5 years are free of charge. Children aged between 6 to 12 are given 50% discount when accompanied by an adult/group
- Students under the age of 25 are given discounts up to 25% if they have a valid identity card from an academic institution
- No charges are levied for arrival and departure delays due to weather conditions, road blocks
- Airport tax and PSF (Passenger Service Fees ) and other taxes are included in the Druk Air ticket. .
Single Room Supplements will be charged as follows:
Festival season: US$ 50
For others: US$ 35
