Paro Festival (8 Days)
Day 1 : Arrival by Druk-air – Paro
During this journey, one will experience breathtaking views of Mount Everest, Kanchen Junga and other Himalayan Peaks including sacred Jhomolhari and Mount Jichu Drakey in Bhutan. On arrival at Paro International Airport the representative of Bhutan Takin Trails will receive you and help you with the visa and other formalities and transfer you to a hotel. Overnight in hotel.
Day 2: Paro Tsechu
The Paro festival starts today inside the Dzong. Visitors will not be allowed to take pictures in the Dzong. Cameras are not allowed inside the Dzong. The festival programme will be handed to all the visitors. Lunch at a hotel. Tsechu programme continues after lunch. Overnight in hotel.
Day 3: Paro Tsechu
Festival continues for the whole day at the Deyankha, courtyard/sightseeing. After the festival lunch at hotel. (Photography is permitted). Overnight in hotel.
Day 4: Paro Tsechu
Festival continues for the whole day at the Delankha courtyard/sightseeing after the festival. Lunch at hotel. (Photography is permitted). Overnight in hotel.
Day 5: Paro Tsechu
Festival continues for the whole day at the Delankha courtyardd/sightseeing after the festival. Lunch at hotel. (Photography is permitted). Overrnight in hotel.
Day 6: Paro – Thimphu
The morning will be occupied with the festival where we will have the opportunity of seeing the Great Thanka and mask dancer. After lunch drive towards Thimphu, the capital city, this will take about 2 hours. Check in a hotel. After that leisure time.
Day 7: Thimphu – Sightseeing
After breakfast drive for sightseeing of the Thimphu valley. Visit the Memorial Chorten built in memory of the Late King, King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, the Father of Modern Bhutan. Then visit the National Library,(Zelukha Nunnery and Tashichho Dzong, the main secretariat building which houses the King’s Throne Room, offices for the Ministers and the residence of the Je Khenpo (Chief Abbot) and the Central Monk Body. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 8: Thimphu – Paro Airport
After early breakfast drive to Paro to catch the Druk-air flight for departure.
